CSA Membership
We have two membership options. Both include our weekly newsletter Urban Roots, u-pick flowers and herbs from the CSA garden, contact with our farmers at every pick-up, and the opportunity to custom order crops for canning, freezing, and end-of-season storage.
Pick-ups are at Troy Gardens (500 block of Troy Drive) on Thursday evenings from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. The CSA season starts the first Thursday in June and ends the third Thursday in October. We also have a bonus week run entirely by our interns on the fourth Thursday in October, making for a 21 week season.
Standard Share
Our Standard Shares are full for 2010. Please check back with us in 2011.
Our standard share is a more traditional CSA option that includes a weekly selection of vegetables. Members join in the spring and then visit the farm weekly to pack their own shares from the harvest display. Each share has between 6 and 8 vegetables in the early season and between 8 and 12 in the later part. Weekly shares are designed to feel plentiful, but not too overwhelming for households of two to four. See photos of past shares to get an idea of what to expect. Then find more information and a sign up form in the standard share brochure. This share option is perfect for members who want to have a weekly connection with the farm and love to eat fresh, local vegetables.
Market Share
Our Market Shares are full for 2010. Please check back with us in 2011.
Our market share is a variation on the traditional CSA. Members purchase a market share in the spring and then get credits for use at the farm stand throughout the season. Members may come to any or all pick-ups and select as much or as little as they need from the vegetable selection. This share option can be good for members who eat fewer vegetables or are away for extended periods during the summer. All our Market Shares are full for 2010. Please contact Claire after you take a look at the brochure to add your name to the wait list for 2011.
